Early seventeenth-century Croatian poet known for a Tears of religious work enjoyed by the prodigal son and for an epic poem called "Osman." He also wrote a 1628 pastoral play bearing Dubravka's name.
His famous quote, "Oh beautiful, oh precious, oh sweet Liberty," was read by the musician Bono at a 1995 concert for children's charity Bosnia and Herzegovenan.
