Who is Politicians Chu Dung Co?
Zhu Rongji, whose Chinese name is Chu Jung-chi, is a Chinese politician, the 5th Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China for the 1998-2003 term.
In October 1949, Zhu Rongji was admitted to the Communist Party of China. Nearly 2 years later, he was promoted to the position of deputy head of the office, working as a secretary for Mr. Ly Phu Xuan. In October 1951, he worked at the Production Planning Department, the Planning Department of the Ministry of Agriculture. After that, he was transferred to the Department of Fuel and Dynamic of the State Planning Commission in December 1952. In 1958, Zhu Rongji was accused of "following the anti-Party faction", so he was expelled from the Communist Party of China and sent to a cadre school to work as a lecturer. The amnesty was not granted until 1962.
In 1970, Zhu Rongji was sent to re-education again. This time he worked at the Cadre School 57 under the State Planning Commission. On January 1, 1987, he ran for the election of an alternate member of the Party Central Committee and was elected. He was appointed to the position of Deputy Party Secretary of Shanghai. In August 1988, he was elected to the post of Mayor of Shanghai. The following August, he was appointed to the position of Party Secretary of Shanghai.
At the fourth session of the 7th National People's Congress of China, held on April 8, 1991, Zhu Rongji was elected to the position of Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council. Until October 1992, he became a standing member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. On March 29, 1993, he was appointed to the position of First Deputy Prime Minister. He then served as Governor of the People's Bank of China on July 2, 1993. In March 1998, he was elected Prime Minister of China. He held this position until March 2003.

At the age of 10, Zhu Rongji lost his mother. He was raised by an eldest uncle named Chau Hoc Phuong. He attended secondary school at two schools, Quang Tich and Sung Duc. He studied Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University (Beijing) from 1947-1951. When he was still a student, he actively participated in the activities of the school union, and in the third year became the President of the red student union of the school.
