Who is Politicians Hjalmar Branting?
Notable as the sixteenth Prime Minister of Sweden, this Social Democratic Party politician led his country briefly in 1920, and again 1921-1923 and 1924 to 1925. While defending Sweden a place in the League of Nations, he became a co-recipient in 1921 of the Nobel Peace Prize.
He shared the Nobel Peace Prize with Norwegian political scientist and historian Christian Lange.
