H&M or HM stands for Hennes & Mauritz, is a Swedish multinational fashion retail company, specializing in the design, production and development of low-cost fashion items. In 1946, a Swedish businessman named Erling Persson had the opportunity to travel to America. In prosperous New York City, he came up with a new idea of ​​​​the women's fashion business. The following year, he opened a women's fashion boutique in Västerås, Sweden. Persson named the store Hennes, which in Swedish means "hers". The Hennes logo was designed by Persson himself. Persson's second store opened in Stockholm in 1954. Hennes products quickly became a craze, sending the company's reputation flourishing. That same year, Hennes' ads took up a full page in Sweden's largest daily newspaper. Gradually, H&M developed into menswear, then fashion for all family members.

A breakthrough. The breakthrough in H&M's business was the launch of a fashion collection made from eco-friendly materials in 2010. In 2013, an H&M team with design studios in Paris and Stockholm gave launched the brand & Other Stories. In 2014, H&M launched a sportswear line using functional fabrics for all family members. Also in 2014, the first shoe products of H&M were also born. In 2015, the company introduced the H&M Beauty brand, which focuses on developing body care, makeup and hairstyling products with unique and special designs.

On September 9, 2017, the first H&M store in Vietnam was opened at Vincom Dong Khoi Shopping Center (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). Vietnam is the 68th market worldwide and the 4th market in Southeast Asia for this fashion brand.
