Live. com is a portal released by Microsoft in early November 2005. It was one of the first Windows Live services to be released. All Live services are located at Live's domain. com, making it the homepage of Microsoft's "Live" movement.
Known, Live. com ranks 18th in the US and 15th globally in terms of traffic, 5th in the Computer, electronics and technology sectors, Email category (In the US). History of formation and development:
Live. com was born on November 1, 2005 under the Windows Live brand and other developments. As of 11/8 they have support for Firefox. On 11/23 the theme was added. On December 15, support for Opera 9, new gadgets, and other developments began. On December 20 the search engine was developed. On 2/28/2006 the search box was updated.
March 7, 2006, Live. com updated with new styles, more gadgets, and upgraded deals. Features include smart scrolling, image search, and archived searches. As of 30/3 other improvements have been made, especially the experience when first running the site and the stability of search-only mode.
September 12. 2006, Live. com is officially released in beta. Within a few days, MSN Search started redirecting to the new Windows Live Search, and the migration was complete.
Live features. com:
Live. com allows users to add RSS feeds to read news in a nutshell. Generated from test site start. com by Microsoft, Live. com can be tweaked with Gadgets, small applications that can serve almost all purposes (like reading mail, weather reports, slideshows, search, games, etc.). Some gadgets integrate with other Windows Live services, including Hotmail, Search, and Favorites.
You can create multiple page tags and customize each tab with feed, gadget, presentation, and different color palettes, thanks to which Live. com becomes a competitor to iGoogle and Pageflakes and other services.
If you go to the Live. com and did not create a personalized homepage or clicked "Search Only", a search box will be used instead of the personalized homepage graphics. They can then switch to the personalization page by clicking "Personalise Page".
