Who is Composer Tristram Cary?
One of Australia's most prolific and prolific composers. He is considered a pioneer of electronic and tape music. He co-founded Electronic Music Studios (London) Ltd, the first commercially available portable synthesizer.
He composed the music for "Doctor Who" early Dalek story line. He also composed the soundtracks for "Quatermass and Pit" from 1967, and "Blood of Mummy Tomb" from 1971.

He was a radar engineer for the Royal Navy during World War II. After the war, he opened one of the first electronic music labels.

Family life info

His father was Joyce Cary, a renowned pianist and novelist who wrote "Mister Johnson." He settled in Suffolk for a time, then died in Adelaide.
