Painter Le Thanh Duc

Painter Le Thanh Duc is the founder of VINEXAD Foreign Trade Advertising Exhibition Company. He is also the first designer of Vietnamese pavilions abroad such as: China, Laos, Algeria, Poland, the Soviet Union... He is also the author of many articles on art, many conference paper. Some typical books such as: “Van Gogh”; “Modern and Postmodern Art”; “Northern Communal House / Architecture and Sculpture”; "Dictionary of Art" (unpublished).

In 1943, Le Thanh Duc studied at the College of Fine Arts Indochina but studied for more than two years. then he had to drop out of school because the school was dissolved. He participated in Viet Minh activities. In 1945, he was a member of a protest group to seize power at the Hanoi Opera House. In 1946, he participated in the resistance war against the French at Vinh Yen Information and Propaganda Department. In 1948, he worked at the Architecture Department of Ta My Duat. In 1949, he joined the People's Army, served at the Military Medical Department (Ministry of National Defense, and worked as an artist for the newspaper "Vinh Living." From 1954 to 1955, Le Thanh Duc was a captain working at "Chung Ho Chi Minh City". Logistics magazine.” He was the designer of the “Army Exhibition” at Bich Cau street and the decorator of the first headquarters of the Conservatory of Music in Hanoi.
