Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) also known as Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club (HAGL FC) is a professional football club in Vietnam. The club is based in Pleiku city, Gia Lai province and the team is currently playing in V. League 1 - the highest division of Vietnamese football. The team's home ground is Pleiku Stadium.
The predecessor of HAGL Club is Football Team Gia Lai - Kon Tum, established in 1976. In 2001, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Club was officially established.
In 2006, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy – Arsenal – JMG & Hoang Anh Gia Lai Gifted was established.
From the day the first football student was selected. From 2007 to present, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy has contributed 7 players to the Vietnam national team, which is the player Luong Xuan Truong, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Van Toan, Vu Van Thanh, Nguyen Phong Hong Duy & Tran Minh Vuong is competing in the 2022 Word Cup qualifiers.
Vision
From 2020 - In 2026, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy will have two complete courses to become a 7-year training cycle, and strive to contribute to the U23 team & Vietnam team from 10 to 15 players.
Dream by 2030, Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy will build a stadium with a capacity of 20,000 seats, fully equipped with function rooms, training equipment to meet the ability to organize domestic and international tournaments. Besides, it will also upgrade 2 stadiums with 5,000 seats each to host national and regional youth tournaments.
