Twentieth-century poet, artist, and editor best known for his association with View, a surreal New York publication. His poetry anthologies include The Garden of Disorder, Sleep in the Nest of Flames, and Symbols of Arachne.
Although his first magazine never made it past its eighth issue, his second publication, View, attracted interest and financial support from the artist Pablo Picasso and modern poet ee cummings.
