Who is Poet Giang Nam?
Giang Nam's real name is Nguyen Sung, he is a poet of Vietnamese literature. Poet Giang Nam's poem "Homeland" was included in the popular textbooks for teaching. He received the second prize in literature review by the Van Nghe newspaper in 1961. He used to be the Deputy General Secretary of the Regional Liberation Arts Association. After finishing primary school in his home district, he graduated from Quy Nhon National School. In 1945, he passed the Thanh Chung exam.
In August 1945, Giang Nam began to join the Viet Minh. He worked as an information and propaganda officer in the commune, then to the province, then Deputy Head of the Information Department Khanh Hoa.
After 1954, he worked in the South, working as Deputy of Khanh Hoa Propaganda Department, Deputy General Secretary of the Southern Liberation Arts Association, member of the Central Department of Culture and Arts Subcommittee, Head of Literature. Having a time as Head of the Arts and Culture Sub-committee, member of the Propaganda Department of the Saigon - Gia Dinh area.

In 1959, Pham Thi Trieu's mother and daughter were captured by the enemy. After his wife and children were arrested, the organization had people search for her whereabouts but could not find any clues. In 1960, he was informed by his superiors: his wife and daughter were killed by the enemy in the prison at Phu Loi, Saigon.
Thought that his wife and children had been killed by the enemy, but suddenly, in 1962, after 3 years of being arrested, she and her daughter were released because they could not find a basis for the conviction. Small family reunited in tears.
The grandparents just met and had to say goodbye once again so that Giang Nam could return to a new office located in the bordering area of the two Dak Lak province and Tuyen Duc.
After 1973, after the Paris Agreement was signed, his family was reunited forever.
