After ending her acting career in the late 1970s, she became a journalist, news anchor, and fiction writer. In the 1960s, she appeared in several episodes of the CBS soap opera Love of Life. During this same period, she acted in the Broadway productions of Tenderloin, Opera, and The Ponder Heart.
