Who is Vietnam War Hero Dinh Van Mau?
Dinh Van Mau, a Muong ethnic minority, is a hero of the Vietnam War, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
January 1949, Comrade Dinh Van Mau participated in revolutionary activities. When he was still a soldier in the district, he always proved to be a resilient and active person at work. Although he only fought in small numbers, but after only 2 battles, he was able to kill 3 enemies, bring 7 dead and 3 wounded soldiers out safely. When he was added to the main army, he was assigned the task of raising troops, 7 years in a row doing this, having gone through 8 battles, Dinh Van Mau gave many opinions, bravely overcome through all the fierce difficulties, always wholeheartedly for the soldiers, ensuring that there is always enough food for the soldiers to fight with peace of mind.
During the campaigns of the Border campaign, Hoang Hoa Tham, Ly Thuong Kiet, Dien Bien Phu... , despite having to cross a long road, many dangerous mountain passes. Comrade always carried 50 to 60 kilograms on his shoulders and ran with his unit, when he arrived, he still did not complain, but happily blew rice for the soldiers. Sometimes in the middle of the march, there were weak soldiers, the unit did not have enough people to carry, he had to carry 80 kg on his shoulders. There was also a time when he was sick, right on the occasion when his unit was ambushing the enemy, he still tried his best to follow the unit to always ensure food for the soldiers fighting the enemy.
During the wars. During the battle of our army, the service conditions encountered many obstacles, but he always thought of ways to improve the meals for the whole unit. Comrade did not mind suffering, went to search for bamboo shoots, took flowers at the end of the forest, dig up tubers... to ensure that his unit always had enough to eat with peace of mind to fight and kill the enemy, implementing the slogan "Eat your fill and win".
Not only in the battlefield, he always encouraged and helped his comrades in the platoon. He was a humble, simple, honest man who was always loved by everyone.
Dinh Van Man was The State awarded the Second-class Victory Medal, the Third-class Victory Medal, was commended by the company and the regiment 9 times and was elected an emulation soldier of the company.
May 7, 1956, Bronze Dinh Van Man was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State and awarded the Third Class Military Merit Medal.
