Forbes is a famous business magazine in the world, founded in New York, USA in 1917 by B. C. Forbes. Forbes publishes two issues per week. This magazine is one of the two magazines with the most prestigious billionaire rankings in the world today. The founder of Forbes was then a leading business commentator for Hearst. In 1954, B. C. Forbes died, his son Bruce became president of Forbes. After Bruce's death in 1964, his younger brother Malcolm Stevenson Forbes (1917–1990) served as Editor-in-Chief and Owner of the newspaper. After Malcolm died, his eldest son, Malcolm Stevenson "Steve" Forbes Jr. (1947–) served as President and CEO of Forbes and as Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine. In 2006, they sold 40% of the company to a private equity firm called Elevation Partners, and formed a new company, Forbes Media LLC, to publish Forbes magazine, Forbes. com and other media properties.
The current editor of Forbes is William Baldwin , publisher is Rich Karlgaard and editor is Dennis Kneale. In 1996, the website of Forbes was Forbes. com has started working.
