Vajrapani Bodhisattva; the Sanskrit word for "thunder" or "diamond" - "who holds thunder in his hand") was one of the earliest Bodhisattvas of Mahayana Buddhism. Excess. He is the protector of the Buddha, symbolizing the strength, power, and courage of all the Buddhas.

In early Buddhist legends, the Bodhisattva Vajrapani is a minor deity who accompanies Shakyamuni Buddha throughout his life.

According to Xuanzang, a Buddhist researcher in China, Bodhisattva Kim Defendant defeated a large snake in Udyana. In another version, it is said that while the Naga (big snake) came to worship the Buddha and listen to his sermons, the Bodhisattva turned Nagas into a bird to deceive those who wanted to kill it.

The origin of Vajrasattva Bodhisattva also appears in the Pali scriptures, as a Yaksha (the god who rules over an area, the demons fear). In this story, a young man named Ambattha, was rude to the Buddha, believing that he had a higher social rank, so he refused to answer the Buddha's question even though he was always polite in the conversation. .

After Ambattha refused to answer a question twice, the Buddha reminded him that, there was a prophecy that said that if he refused to answer an enlightened person's question three times, Your head will divide into seven parts. Of course this never happened, but at that moment Vajra Bodhisattva appeared, thunder in hand ready to strike Ambattha. Ambattha was of course very frightened and quickly answered the Buddha's question.

The symbol of Vajrasattva Bodhisattva appears a lot in India (the god of weather and war), in the West. Tibet (he is expressed in the form of wrath, showing strength and determination to protect the tantras), in China (he is said to be the guardian of the Shaolin Monastery), in Japan (the figure of he is usually placed at the entrance of temples.)

Vajrayana Bodhisattva is depicted dancing in the halo of flames, symbolizing transformation. He holds thunder in his right hand, emphasizing the power to overcome the darkness of illusion. He has a third eye in the center of his forehead, and wears a cloth around his waist, the cloth made from the skin of a tiger. He is decorated with a five-pointed Bodhisattva crown, but the crown bears five skulls.

He has a chain hanging from his stomach and he also has a snake around his neck. Snakes and dragons are related to clouds and rain, in keeping with His origin as a thunder god. Although Vajrapani Bodhisattva is often depicted with a ferocious image, it does not represent ordinary ferocity, but the strength, power, energy, and courage of the Buddhas.
