Guitarist and lyricist best known for his longtime collaboration with jam band The Grateful Dead. Although he doesn't often perform live with the band, he has co-wrote many of their most popular songs, including "Dark Star".
He has also worked closely with Bob Dylan, co-writing each song, but one on the folk lore album of 2009 "Together Through Life".
