From a young age, Tu Cong Phung was very fond of music, when he was 16 years old he taught himself music through the book Harmonie et Orchestration by Robert de Kers. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and became an editor of VOF radio station. In 1960, he composed his first work "What month now" when he was only 18 years old, marking his career in composing music in his life. The first work was born and quickly received the love of Van Khoa students.
