Best known as a drummer and multi-instrumentalist for the indie-rock group Grizzly Bear. He joined the group after his contributions to their 2004 debut album Horn of Plenty.
In 2009, he and his bandmates released their 3rd studio album, Veckatist. The album peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200. It was also included in the 2011 edition of the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
