According to legend, Robin Hood was the an excellent swordsman and archer. In some legends he is described as a man of noble birth, others describe him as having fought in the Crusades before returning to England. In the earliest versions, he was a landowner. In legend, Robin Hood often wears a blue Loncoln costume and often acts heroically, robbing the rich and giving to the poor.
