Who is Lawyer Phan Van Truong?
Phan Van Truong is a patriotic journalist and a good lawyer. He is a person of great merit in Vietnamese culture, being the first to promote the use of Quoc Ngu as a script for Vietnamese people.
After graduating and becoming a lawyer, he was accepted to work as an interpreter. at the Tonkin Ambassadorial Palace. After that, he went to France and studied Law at the Sorbonne University, Paris. After he submitted his doctoral thesis on Law, he became Vietnam's first Doctor of Jurisprudence. He also worked as an assistant teacher at Dong Phuong Language and Literature School. During this time, he also actively participated in revolutionary activities and exchanged with like-minded people.
Phan Van Truong and Phan Chau Trinh established the Council of Dear People, chaired by Phan Van Truong. This is one of the first Vietnamese organizations in France. In 1913, Prince Cuong De sent someone to Paris to associate with the Council of Dear compatriots. Also in 1913, the Vietnamese Quang Phuc Hoi bombed Hanoi, so the French government believed that Phan Chu Trinh and Phan Van Truong were people involved in this violent movement, so during the First World War they arrested both of them. Because the Human Rights Association and many politicians of the Socialist Party (France) interfered, the French government had to release the two men. However, the Mutual Mutual Mutual Aid Council was no longer active at this time, so he was transferred to Toulouse to work as an interpreter for Vietnamese-origin soldiers who were serving at Arsenal de Toulouse.

After the war. In the first world, Phan Van Truong continued to study and passed the Doctorate of Lap Faculty, established a Law office in Paris. He continued his revolutionary activities in France with Phan Chau Trinh and Nguyen Ai Quoc. He is considered as one of the four people who signed the "Revendications du peuple annamite" which is the "Prayer of the Annamite people" also known as the "claim of the Vietnamese people". At the end of 1923, he returned to his home country, and Nguyen An Ninh published the report "Southern Country" (L'Annam), and "Chung ble" (La Cloche Fêlée) in Saigon and French. He actively participated in the struggle against the policies of the French colonial government.
