Vu Minh Hieu is a musician of Huynh Long Ancient Tuong Caeu Luong Troupe. At a very young age, he suffered from pulmonary edema due to complications from heart disease. After more than 10 years of fighting with illness, musician Vu Minh Hieu took his last breath at 19:45 on August 7.

According to the artist Binh Tinh said that Vu Minh Hieu is practicing "The Seven Fairies" to perform to celebrate August 19. On August 7, on the way back home, he showed signs of being unwell, so he was taken to the emergency room by his colleagues at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases - Ho Chi Minh City. However, he could not survive and died 15 minutes after being hospitalized.
It is known that Vu Minh Hieu was from Soc Trang, go to the city Ho Chi Minh career and was adopted by artist Binh Tinh, considered as a younger brother, living with his family. When he died, artist Binh Tinh took care of his funeral. The coffin of musician Vu Minh Hieu will be interred at Nhon Hoa (Cau Muoi communal house), 27 Co Giang street, Cau Ong Lanh ward, district 1, Ho Chi Minh city. The visitation period is from August 8 to 9. On the morning of August 10, Vu Minh Hieu's coffin will be taken to his hometown for burial in Soc Trang.
