Thu Uyen graduated with a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Tourism Service Management from Southern Can Tho University. During her time as a student, Thu Uyen also participated in many beauty contests. In 2019, she won the Miss South Can Tho University award. Also in 2019, she reached the Top 30 of Miss Student Vietnam, and the top 40 finalists of Miss World Vietnam.
Thu Uyen used to work at The Reverie Saigon hotel in the center of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City . Because she wanted to change the environment and also loved beauty contests like when she was a student, she signed up to try at the Miss Ocean Vietnam 2023 contest. With a standard appearance of 1m74 tall, body measurements 82 -64-92 along with her understanding and clever way of answering questions helped her surpass 29 contestants in the final night to win the top position. Also in the Miss Ocean 2023 contest, 1st runner-up went to Lam Kieu Anh, who is currently living and studying in the US, and 2nd runner-up went to beauty Vu Duong Quynh Nhu from Binh Duong, 3rd runner-up belonged to Vo Thi Tuyet Nhi from Kien Giang, 4th runner-up belongs to Thai Dao Truc Giang from City. HCM. After the competition, she had a major turning point in her life that completely changed her life. In addition to her daily work, she also has to regularly participate in events. Even though she is busy, she still manages to find time to volunteer like she did when she was a student. For Thu Uyen, no matter how hard it is, just being able to do what she likes makes her feel enough and satisfied.
Sharing her future plans, Thu Uyen said : She still tries to continue to improve and learn more knowledge to be worthy of the position she has. She also wants to participate in world beauty contests in the future. As for love, she hopes that in the future she will have someone who understands her and supports her on her artistic path.
