Who is Poet Nostradamus?
French poet, apothecary, and self-proclaimed prophet who began publishing his predictions in 1555. His quatrains, whether truly prophetic or misinterpreted to be so, I have gained a teaching following sects over the centuries.
Although the mainstream media has claimed that he predicted major historical events, the historian attributes his apparent accuracy to poor translation and misunderstanding.

He studied for his baccalaureate at the University of Avignon when he was 15 years old, but was forced to leave when the university closed because of a plague outbreak. He then worked as a pharmacist and briefly studied medicine at the University of Montpellier before being expelled from the school.
He was one of nine children born to Jaume de Nostredame. Nostradamus then married a woman who may have been Henriette d'Encausse, and both she and the couple's children died from the Black Death in 1534.
