As a child, Lee Kuan Yew attended Telok Kurau Primary School, then he attended Raffles Academy and became the top among 150 students and joined the scout movement for 3 years. In the following years he studied at Cambridge University where he won many scholarships; with the achievement of the highest degree along with winning the John Anderson scholarship helped him to attend Raffles University, now the National University of Singapore. During the years of World War II from 1942 to 1945, he had to give up his studies, during which time he began to study Korean and Japanese, along with working. He worked as an Allied telegraph scribe, editing the English version of the Hodobu.
After the war ended, he attended Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom, and for a time attended briefly at the London School of Economics. In 1949, he returned to Singapore and worked as a lawyer for a law firm of John Laycock becoming a legal consultant for commercial activities and student unions. Along with the forging on November 21, 1954, he, along with some of his friends from the British educated middle class, founded the Communist Party of People's Action, and he took over His job was a Secretary-General until 1992. In the 1955 general election, he became an opposition leader against the coalition government and was one of only two representatives of the PAP to attend. attend the constitutional negotiations held in London. Lee Kuan Yew is the fourth generation in a family in Singapore, he married Kha Ngoc Chi on September 30, 1950.
