He was called up to the national team but failed to compete in the 3-band carom content. Coach Tran Dinh Hoa directed Ngo Dinh Nai to the content of a one-band carom. Ngo Dinh Nai spends 6 hours a day practicing, so he quickly became the number 1 player in Vietnam in this content.
2012 was a successful year for Ngo Dinh Nai. He won the championship Ho Chi Minh City, the National Championship and the Asian Championship. Ngo Dinh Nai won the Asian 1st Carom Billliards Championship after defeating Tran Phi Hung in the final with a score of 100-79. Previously, Ngo Dinh Nai was almost eliminated in the group stage if it was not for the late intervention of Mr. Gaku Nishio, president of the Asian carom billiards federation. The Asian championship helped Ngo Dinh Nai win tickets to the world tournament taking place in September in Portugal.
In 2013, Ngo Dinh Nai lost the gold medal in the one-piece carom event in Vietnam. 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Korea. In the final carom 1 tape. Ngo Dinh Nai competes with the host player Hwang Durkhee. However, after more than 2 hours of competition, Dinh Nai accepted the defeat with a close score of 97-100.
Ngo Dinh Nai came to the billiards quite late. At the age of 20, he started to get acquainted with billiards. After more than 10 years of hard training, Ngo Dinh Nai became a formidable player of the Vietnamese team.
