VietNamNet Newspaper is an online newspaper in Vietnam under the Ministry of Information and Communications. VietNamNet newspaper was established on December 19, 1997. On January 23, 2003, VietNamNet was licensed as an online online newspaper and became one of the online newspapers present in the early period of its appearance. The first online newspaper in Vietnam.

Vietnamnet website. vn is ranked in the top 29 of the most visited websites in Vietnam by similarweb. Average over 50 million visits/month. In which, women account for about 40% and men account for about 60%, most are in the age group 25-34.

History:

19/12. /1997: Officially opened the VASC Value-Added Service Center and at the same time opened the WWW website. VNN. VN, the predecessor of today's VietNamNet.

September 2, 2001: The VASC Orient online information network was born.

In 2003:

- VASC Orient online information network became VASC Orient electronic newspaper, changed its domain name to VietNamNet. VN.

- June 18, 2003: VietNamNet electronic newspaper officially launched VietNamNet Bridge English page at: www. vnn. vn/english/.

- Launching Echip Magazine - Information Technology - Telecommunications News Week for young people.

- For the first time, the "Knight of Information Technology" award was held, which resonated greatly in the community.

June 20, 2008: VietNamNet electronic newspaper officially became a unit under the Ministry of Information and Communications.

September 2, 2009: Article concert program The first ever was held (in 2016 became the National Concert Program)
