Two-time American Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion became one of the most famous wrestlers of 1940. He died of heart disease at the age of 50 and was inducted into the Wrestling Professional Hall of Fame in 2012.
He had intended to become a lawyer, but his lifelong struggle with a syndrome known as acromegaly prevented him from doing so.
