Ngoc Dang was a famous female artist on the southern cai luong stage in the 60-70s.
At the age of 15, artist Ngoc Dang was the main dancer on the stage of the troupe Thanh Binh - Kim Mai of the pregnant couple Bay Huynh - Ngoc Huong.
In 1990, Ngoc Dang joined the Song Tien reformed troupe, performing with the artist Truong Nhan. In the same year, she won the Gold Medal for the role of Christmas Autumn in the play “Don't forget to celebrate”, at the National Professional Cai Luong Theater Festival. During the years standing on stage Ngoc Dang played many roles in many plays. But her favorite is the play “My Village”.
At the age of 18, she married artist Huynh Kim. At that time, she and her husband were a talented couple of the reformed world. When the name was famous, the couple decided to set up a singing troupe. At that time, to set up a singing troupe required a lot of capital. But after many years of singing, she and her husband only accumulated a small amount of capital. Lacking capital, the artist and his wife ran everywhere, having to take their reputation as a "trust" for creditors. At the age of 25, artist Ngoc Dang and her husband established the singing troupe "Ngoc Kieu". Ngoc Kieu singing troupe had to compete with many big troupes of that time such as: Kim Chung, Thong Nhat ... to find a place for themselves. The Ngoc Kieu singing burden that day was not big, but it was considered as a cradle to nurture many outstanding Cai Luong talents such as: People's Artist Ngoc Giau, NS Thanh Sang, Hung Cuong...
When coming of age, artist Ngoc Dang lives comfortably in a nursing home dedicated to artists at Tp. Ho Chi Minh.

In the morning of February 23, 2022 (US time), artist Ngoc Dang died in the US due to a serious illness. Her sudden departure has left many mourning for the audience and fellow artists.
From a young age, she accompanied her parents to the troubadour. The lyrics of the song seemed to be imprinted in her mind, and she never knew when she fell in love with each song and melody. When she learned that Ngoc Dang intended to pursue a singing career, her parents objected. But she decided to follow her passion.
