Kien Giang, whose real name is Truong Khuong Trinh, is a Vietnamese poet, journalist, and reformer. In composing poetry, Truong Khuong Trinh used the pen name Kien Giang, in Cai luong compositions he took the pen name Ha Huy Ha
In poetry, he was famous for his poem "White flowers stop wearing purple clothes". This poem was started by the poet in 1957, and completed in 1958. This poem was inspired by the first love of composer Kien Giang and her friend Nguyen Thi Many. During the wartime turmoil, she was one place, he was another, that much girl was still waiting for her lover to return. In 1955, Ms. Loi decided to meet Kien Giang for the last time before getting married. That love kept haunting Kien Giang, that's why he put that love into poetry and wrote a famous poem "White flowers stop wearing purple clothes". Poet Kien Giang also has some quite popular poems such as: Southern rice paddy (1970); Childhood homeland.
As an editor, he took the pseudonym Ha Huy Ha. His first reformed work, Nguu Lang Chuc Nu, was written in the form of "poetry and dance music". But when it comes to composer Ha Huy Ha, one must mention two famous works that have moved many fans, namely the reformed plays "Wedding dress in front of the temple gate", "The wife who never married".
The Cai Luong play "The Wife Never Marries" helped the late female artist Thanh Nga to win. Thanh Tam Award "Best Female Cai Luong Artist" is organized by the daily newspaper "Tien Doi" by journalist Tran Tan Quoc. Artist Thanh Nga has since become a star in the world of reformed artists.
After 1975, composer Kien Giang was appointed deputy director of the Thanh Minh - Thanh Nga reform group. He also worked at the theater art department and was a member of the Executive Committee of the City Theater Association for three terms.
Poet and composer Kien Giang died at 18:00 on October 31, 2014, at the age of 86. He was buried at Binh Duong Cemetery, Chanh Phu Hoa Ward, Ben Cat Town, Binh Duong Province.

Young / Before famous

In 1943, poet Kien Giang attended Le Ba Cang Private School in Saigon.
In 1944, he moved to Can Tho and went to second grade at Nam Hung Private High School. Because of his literary talent, he was assigned by his teachers to run a wall newspaper called Green Day. Kien Giang edits and presents (drawing, decorating…), while her friend Nguyen Thi Many copies the lessons. And when the two of you fall in love, it's not good.
After the anti-French resistance war broke out, Kien Giang and some close friends entered Zone 8, to join the resistance.
In 1948, he followed the call of the mountains and rivers, then wrote poetry at the newspaper "The sound of guns against the enemy" in War Zone 9, Western U Minh. In 1955, he went to Saigon to write articles for newspapers: New Democracy, Bell, Dan Ta, Dan Tien… At first he worked as Teacher Co (morasse editor) for the Bell Newspaper, then gradually he wrote articles and became a become a journalist.
Before 1975, he was also in charge of the May Tan literary contest on Saigon Radio, working as a theater reporter for many major newspapers in Saigon. . He used to participate in the movement of journalists begging and led a protest group against the strict regulations imposed by the government of the Republic of Vietnam on the press. Because of this action, Kien Giang had to go to prison.
