Dolly Parton, born Dolly Rebecca Parton, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and philanthropist. She has 26 number-one singles and 42 top ten albums on the Billboard country album chart. She is the author and performer of the song "I Will Always Love You".
In 1968, Dolly Parton's first solo single, "Just Because I'm a Woman", peaked at number 17. During the late 1960s, she had no hits. brilliant success, including the album "In the Good Old Day" - the album that became known later. In 1970, she achieved success with the song "Mule Skinner Blues" by Jimmie Rodgers, and the recording peaked at #3 on the charts, earning her a Grammy Award nomination. Parton's first single, "Jolene", reached number one in early 1974, making her famous, surpassing even Wagoner. In 1974, the song "I Will Always Love You" topped the Country charts.
Dolly Parton is a famous musician and a big name in the country village. Her songs are all folklore, based on Catholic music and her family's upbringing. Many songs have become famous such as: I Will Always Love You, 9 to 5, Jolene, Coat of Many Colors, Love Is Like A Butterfly, Here You Come Again... She has composed a total of about 3000 songs. products, of which 600 have been released with BMI, and have won 37 BMI awards for their work. Her successes in songwriting were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001. She has also been a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame since 1986.
November 1978, the image of Parton appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine, although she had previously refused to be photographed for the magazine. Director Russ Meyer , once expressed her desire to make a movie about her 36FF size breasts. The director also said that Parton is the only female Hollywood star he wants to work with.
