Director Bui Thac Chuyen is probably not too strange to those who love traditional films, because he is the director of the hit movie "12A-4H" which has been broadcast since 1995. The film was adapted from the book. novel by author Nguyen Dong Thuc. "12A-4H" is considered to be the most successful film on the subject of Vietnamese cinema during this period.

Called with the nickname "Horror Director", Bui Thac Chuyen has brought Vietnamese audiences many brains of this genre. His debut film was also a horror film. In 2011, the horror film "Curse of the Blood" was released to the Vietnamese public and attracted the attention and interest of the audience.

During the filmmaking career of director Bui. Master Chuyen, he has made many successful and award-winning films. In 2010, he won the Vietnam Golden Kite Award for Best Motion Picture for the movie "Playing with". The film "Living in fear" has won many awards such as: Vietnam Golden Kite for Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Film Critics and Press Award in 2006. 2003, received the Vietnam Golden Kite for Best TV Documentary for the movie "The Hand Diggers".

Bui Thac Chuyen studied and graduated from University of Theater and Cinema. He studied in the same course, in the same class as his future wife Tu Oanh. In the second year of university, Bui Thac Chuyen and Tu Oanh had an official relationship. Outside of school hours, he also took on a number of supporting roles, and every time he went to act, he took his lover with him. After 7 years of love, this couple officially got on the flower car. After being married for a while, he both acted at the Central Drama Theater and acted in films to earn money to support his small family. In 1997, he returned to the University of Theater and Cinema to study directing with the dream of becoming a filmmaker.

Director Bui Thac Chuyen's parents are Bui Binh Thi and Nguyen Thi My. He is married to artist Tu Oanh and has a son, Bui Thac Quan.
