William Shakespeare is a famous English writer, playwright, considered a great writer of England and a playwright ahead of his time. He is also honored as the best poet of England. He wrote 38 plays, 154 sonnets, 2 narrative poems, and several short poems. His works have been translated into many languages and performed in many places.
According to many Shakespeare studies, he was educated at King's New School in Stratford, a free school. fee, about 0.25 miles from his house. At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway, a daughter eight years older than him. Six months after their marriage, his wife gave birth to a daughter named Susanna. On February 2, 1585, his wife gave birth to twins, a boy named Hamnet and a girl named Judith. However, Hamnet died at the age of 11 from an unknown cause.
In 1585, he left his hometown for London, when the theater in the capital was in the midst of a hectic period. Initially, he worked as a horse keeper, checking tickets at the theater gate. After that, he worked as a tutor, a printmaker and gradually became an actor, director and playwright. As his life improved, he bought a small noble title to strengthen his social status.
During his time in London, he was greatly helped by the Earl of Southampton. He was taught by Italian exile Giovani Florio about French and Italian Renaissance literature. Life was peaceful, suddenly a big event happened. That was the case of Essex and Southampton in 1601. Essex was found guilty of opposing the court of Elizabeth I. Shakespeare was on suspicion for the play "Richard III" played the day before. Essex was executed, Southampton was imprisoned for life, and Shakespeare escaped.
In 1603, Elizabeth I died. The King of Scotland, James, became king and became James I of England. The Earl of Southampton has been freed and is respected by the court. Shakespeare reappeared with his troupe and was respected by the court. In 1612, Shakespeare left London and returned to Stratford to spend the last years of his life. He died on April 23, 1616.
Shakespeare's contributions have left their mark on the literature and theater of the next generation. He developed drama in terms of plot development, genre, language, and characters. His works had a profound influence on later generations of poetry. It is easy to see that his influence is far superior to the great French playwrights before him like Molière or Racine.
