During his career as a journalist, he has authored numerous works and is the author of the following books:

Young / Before famous

Although born in Owensboro, Kentucky, during his childhood, Crawford moved with his family to Orlando, Florida. There, he attended Pineloch Elementary and Oak Ridge High School. As a high school student, Crawford wrote articles about the Republican party for Senator Ed Gurney. In 1976, he began attending Stetson University and served on the Jimmy Carter presidential election campaign. In 1976, Crawford transferred to American University in Washington to interned at the Carter White House press office. He graduated from Stetson University in 1978 and went on to Stetson University College of Law and graduated in 1981, since 1982 he has been a member of the Florida Bar organization and practices his law. There, Crawford worked for Democratic candidates John Glenn and Walter Mondale. In 1982, he was an unsuccessful candidate for the Florida state legislature - a Democrat. Then in 1985, Crawford joined the staff of the Orlando Sentinel in political affairs and became a legal reporter. In 1989, he moved again to the Washington office of the newspaper, in 1997, Crawford left the Sentinel to work for the hotline until 2003 he had the opportunity to move to work for NBC, CNBC and MSNBC.
On March 5, 2010, Crawford resigned from MSNBC and he was a regular guest on WABC - AM radio shows, Imus on Morning radio/TV and shows like Early Show. In 2008, Crawford reappeared on the MSNBC show Morning Joe. In 2015, he became the Communications Director for the campaigns of former Senator Jim Webb (D-VA).
In addition to his journalism work, Craig Crawford is also an active participant in philanthropic activities, he is the one who launched the campaign to support relief for the victims of the Haitian disaster. and has raised $75,000 as well as provided shelter and food for 900 victims of this disaster.
