Kenny G's full name is Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, an American saxophonist. He became famous with his fourth album titled Duotones in 1986. In 1997, Kenny G entered the Guinness Book of Records by playing the longest note on a saxophone for 45 minutes and 47 seconds. As of 2003, he was named the 25th best-selling album in the US market by the RIAA, with 48 million albums sold in the US as of July 31, 2006. In 1994, with the work Forever in Love, Kenny G won a Grammy Award. He created his own line of saxophones and named them "Kenny G Saxophones".
He went from elementary school to college all in his hometown of Seattle.
