Who is Journalist Dobri Voynikov?
Dobri Popov Voynikov is a former journalist who has written for Revival Bulgaria and is also known as a playwright and Bulgarian teacher. He is considered the father of modern Bulgarian theater and the producer of the first Bulgarian show. Besides, Voynikov was one of the founding members of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
March 27, 1878, he died in Tarnovo of typhoid.

From a young age, Voynikov grew up in the city of Sumnu and attended many schools such as Sava Filaterov, Ivan Bogorov and Sava Dobropolodni school. In 1858, he graduated from Galatasaray High School in Istanbul, then became a teacher in Shumen until 1864. In 1864, he was forced to emigrate to the Romanian Principalities and then to Giurgiu in 1873. In 1866 he became a member of the Central Committee of Secrets. Bulgaria. As a Romanian immigrant Voynikov had experienced many times on the stage, so in 1865 he founded a theater company called "Bulgarian amateur theatrical" in Brăila and led the company for until 1870. It can be said that he created the history of the Bulgarian theater when women entered the theater as actors. He then went on to participate in theater in Giurgiu, Bucharest and Shumen.
