From its first edition published in 1867, Harper's Bazaar appeared as the first fashion magazine in America. Harper & Brothers Co is the founding company. The first editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar was translator Mary Louise Booth. With the participation of many fashion editors such as Carrie Donovan, Liz Tilberis, Alexey Brodovitch, Diana Vreeland, Brana Wolf, Carmel Snow, or photographers Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Richard Avedon, Robert Frank, Man Ray, Diane Arbus, Inez van Lamsweerde, Craig McDean.... When Harper's Bazaar was originally a magazine weekly magazine focused on upper- and middle-class women. Since 1901, this magazine has been owned and operated by Hearst Corporation (USA) and The National Magazine Company (UK). Then, the Hearst Corporation bought the entire magazine in 1912. During the transition in the US, Harper's Bazaar magazine began to include illustrations and photographs on the cover of the magazine. The content focuses on introducing high fashion trends that are prevalent in the world. This magazine also officially changed to a monthly magazine and has remained in this form to this day. It is remarkable that during this time, at the end of the Victorian period, when the women's suffrage movements were on the rise, women's jackets and dresses were introduced. The design is in line with the new point of view with feminism. To catch up with the social situation at that time, Bazaar magazine began to introduce prominent social figures at that time such as the Griscoms family, the Astors family.
