Finley Peter Dunne is an American humor journalist and writer from Chicago. With humor, wit, and political acumen, he won the hearts and support of President Theodore Roosevelt. His writings became popular and widely known through the weekly internal meetings of the White House. Dunne died in New York on April 24, 1936, when he was 68 years old.
 
 

Young / Before famous

Peter Dunne is the 5th of 7 children in the family, from a young age he was offered to study as a missionary, but he was not refused by his parents. He was then sent to West Division High School and soon showed himself to be an intelligent boy in the literary and social field. When he was 17 years old, he soon became a boy working at the Chicago Telegram office in 1984. With his agility and natural talent, he was sent by his superiors to the police station, in Here his writing talent became apparent in Telegram's daily news pages. Then, in January 1988, he was hired by the Chicago Times' Daily News, and he became a city editor at the age of 21. About a year later, he moved to the Tribune to work at the Chicago Tribune, where he and his colleagues founded the Whitechapel Club. The club attracted a large number of important figures in society.
At the end of 1890, he moved to work for the Chicago Herald and became a prominent employee, he had the opportunity to work in various positions. Political reporting as well as political work, typically the Democratic and Republican conventions of 1982. Dunne wrote a lot of articles including about 700 articles on "Dooley" and a part of them. which has been published in 8 of his books which are:

Dunne married Margaret Ives Abbott on December 10, 1902, she was a Chicago golfer famous for winning the Olympic Games in 1900. After her marriage she continued to play golf although she continued to play golf. After giving birth 3 times, there are 4 children: Finley Peter Dunne Jr. , writer/director Philip Dunne and twins Peggy and Leonard.
