It wasn't until after years of fierce war that Ngan Vinh's poetry really spoke up. For him, poetry is a predestined karma, a place to convey the desire for life. Poetry originates from the heart, so it never gets old.

- He finished high school at Tran Phu Vinh Yen School in 1962.
- In April 1963, he joined the army as a soldier of the 2nd Division of the Liberation Army Zone 5 and fought on the battlefields of Military Region V.
- He participated in famous battles such as Ba Gia, Van Tuong as the 82mm mortar platoon commander since February 1964.
- He was assigned to the Political Department of the Military Region as a reporter and editor of the magazine of the Liberation Army of Central Central Vietnam in 1967.
- He participated in the Southwest border war and fought in Cambodia as Divisional Training Assistant, April 1978.
- January 1984 he retired with the rank of Captain.
