Who is Poet Thanh Thao?
Poet Thanh Thao's birth name is Ho Thanh Cong, born into a family with revolutionary traditions in Duc Tan commune, Mo Duc district, Quang Ngai province. After graduating from the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University, he entered the southern battlefield to work as a journalist and to create literature.
Thanh Thao is a versatile writer, writing many genres, but her forte is still poetry, especially successful with a number of epic poems written after the war. Thanh Thao poetry is the voice of an intellectual who thinks a lot about issues of society and the times. He was noticed by the public through his unique collections of poems and epics written about the war and the post-war period.
Currently, he is the President of the Literature and Art Association Quang Ngai, vice president of the Poetry Council of the Vietnam Writers' Association.
* Award:

• Award of the Literature Committee of National Defense and Security, Vietnam Writers Association in 1995 for the epic collection Sunwaves.
• Vietnam Writers Association Award for the collection of poems Footprints Through the Prairie 1979.
• Award of the United Nations National Committee the Vietnam National Culture and Arts Association, the Vietnam Writers Association Award and the Vietnam Music Association Award for the volume Barefoot Songs (2012).
