Phung Xuan Nha graduated from Hanoi National University, majoring in World Economy and International Economic Relations. In 1994, he studied for a postgraduate degree at Manchester University, majoring in Development Economics. In 2000, he studied for a doctorate at the Institute of World Economy. In 2002, he enrolled at Georgetown University.
