Originally born in a poor family, Luu Viet Hung once had a difficult and troubled childhood. Thanks to his love of music, he soon chose music as his career. Not a child of the family, he often participates in the school's cultural programs as well as the local; Besides, he also studied dancing and singing at school.
Later, his family life was difficult, he had to make a living as a singer cum presenter at coffee shops. Thanks to his good, warm and inspiring voice, he received enthusiastic cheers every time he stepped on the stage. Thanks to that, he was more motivated to step closer to the singer's path even though his life was very difficult at that time. Every evening, he crosses the 20 km long road to go to the singing places to sing and receive a salary of 70,000 VND per night. But because the tuition was too high, his parents could not support his three brothers, later when his brother finished 12th grade, he entered Ho Chi Minh City to set up a career both to reduce the burden on his mother and to have money to support him to pursue a singing career.
Then in 2002, he also graduated from the Dance College in Hanoi, then he signed up to participate in the competition to find a Close Up Star. The success of this contest gave him the opportunity to sign an exclusive contract with T&V Singer Management Company and be directly managed by Artist Huy Cuong.
After the success of the first CD album "It is better not to love than that I say a sentence", Luu Viet Hung continued to release a VCD album to the audience. elaborate and novel according to 3D animation technology titled Ocean Prince Love Story. After that, he also released three consecutive albums vol 1 "Flowers and Tears"; vol 2 "Specializing in the love of the ocean prince"; vol3 “Trinh Cong Son - Phu Quang". In early 2013, Luu Viet Hung collaborated with Blue Galaxy Entertainment Company in the production of the album "Happy Days" and the MV "What's Left" which was filmed in the US.
