After the competition, Hoai Nam was expected to become the bright face of the young music line combined with pop-ballad. However, in the midst of his career, he suddenly chose to withdraw from the spotlight. He shared that he had many difficulties in shaping the direction as well as having to take care of his personal life. For a stable finance, he decided to suspend his singing career and turned to business.
