Just before Nghi Van went to Singapore to study abroad, she nurtured her passion for singing and dancing. Following the call of her passion, she decided to return to her home country and start over. She started singing and released her first music products in 2003. She did not need a manager, nor joined any management company, but since 2003 Nghi Van has continuously released life of music products. Nghi Van's first two albums are a bit lyrical but also very exciting. Until Album Vol. 3, there was an innovation part, in favor of softness and romance, which is also because of the guidance of Vietnamese musician English. Since then, she has become famous in the Vietnamese music industry thanks to the songs of Vietnamese musician Anh such as: Night Marks, Streets Without You, The Girl From Yesterday, Night Dreaming of the City...
Since the 2nd album titled "Dream Night on the Street" was released in 2004, it was also the time when Nghi Van began to appear less public, her life also became quieter. At that time, Nghi Van was not only famous for his good music, but also known to many people through his love affair with two famous artists in the entertainment industry at that time, musician Viet Anh and male singer Kasim Hoang Vu. However, her two love affairs did not last long. In 2009, Nghi Van gave an interview to a website, she said that she and musician Viet Anh still keep in touch but have never met again. Whenever she thinks about Viet Anh, she always respects him. She later shared that if music did not have love, it would be very dull.
