Soyou, whose real name is Kang Ji-hyun, is a South Korean singer and actress. She is best known as a member of the Korean girl group Sistar under Starship Entertainment.
Before becoming a member of Sistar, Soyou was a trainee under Cube Entertainment and was cast intend to include in the group 4minute. After that, she auditioned for Starship Entertainment and became a member of group Sistar. In June 2010, Soyou and the members of Sistar officially debuted on KBS Music Bank with the song "Push Push". In August of the same year, this female singer collaborated with singer Woo of boy group J2 on a soundtrack of the movie "Gloria".
June 2010, Soyou made her official debut as a Sistar member on KBS Music Bank with her debut single, Push Push. She then collaborated with Geeks on the song "Officially Missing You, Too" in September 2010. In November 2012, this singer collaborated with singer K. Will and Jeongmin Boyfriend to release "white Love", part of Starship Planet 2012. In early 2014, she and singer JungGiGo released a duet titled "Some". In 2015, Soyou and Honey Lee and Kim Jung Min, became the new host of Get It Beauty, the first episode aired on February 4th.
During Valentine's Day 2017, the duet "Rain" by female singer Soyou and male singer singer Baekhyun of EXO, has become the song that occupies the highest position on music charts in Korea.
