Trung Tin's real name is Dao Trung Tin, born in 1997, is a young male singer who became better known to the audience after participating in the show Unexpected Transformation 2024. With the ability to transform into singer Khanh Phuong, especially recreating his characteristic hoarse voice and performance style, Trung Tin quickly made his mark on stage and won the runner-up position in Unexpected Transformation 2024 with 59 points.

Who is Dao Trung Tin?

Dao Trung Tin was born in 1997, hometown Gia Lai. He graduated with a major in Vocal Music from the City College of Culture and Arts. HCM in 2022. Previously, Trung Tin was a student majoring in Information Technology at Saigon University of Technology.

The decision to turn to music came when he was in his third year of college. Realizing that singing was the field he really wanted to pursue, Trung Tin decided to stop studying Information Technology to start again with the artistic path. This was not an easy choice because his family had invested a lot of time and money in his education. However, after initial worries, his family still supported Trung Tin to pursue his passion.

Changing majors also means that Trung Tin has to start almost from scratch. He studied vocal music, looked for performance opportunities and gradually became familiar with the professional theater environment.

Journey from Information Technology student to singer

Dao Trung Tin's first years of pursuing singing were not easy. While studying vocal music, he had to work many extra jobs to make ends meet and continue pursuing his passion. There are shows that bring very low salaries, but for Trung Tin, every time he stands on stage is an opportunity to learn and gain experience.

A memorable memory he shared was that he once received an honorarium of only 90,000 VND for a performance in his hometown. This amount of money also had to be divided among many people in the performance group. Finally, Trung Tin had to spend more money to invite everyone to eat. Although the salary at that time was very small, he considered this one of the memorable experiences in his first years of singing.

After graduating from vocal music in 2022, Trung Tin continues to look for opportunities to appear on music platforms. He participated in Idol Conquest and Star Arena, thereby gaining more performing experience as well as the opportunity to interact with artists who have been active in the industry for many years.

During this journey, singer Quach Tuan Du is also a person who has a certain influence on Trung Tin. The male singer received guidance and support from his seniors, including costume support so he could be more confident when appearing on stage.

Turning point with Unexpected Transformation 2024

Dao Trung Tin's name became known to more audiences when he participated in Unexpected Transformation 2024. At the show, Trung Tin chose to transform into singer Khanh Phuong and quickly attracted attention for his ability to imitate the male singer's characteristic hoarse voice.

The special point is that Trung Tin's real voice is not exactly the same as the voice he performed when incarnated. Therefore, to recreate the image of Khanh Phuong on stage, the male singer must study pronunciation, song processing, expressions and performance style. It is this investment that helps his transformations make an impression on the audience. Besides his singing voice, Trung Tin also attracts attention with his bright stage appearance and confident performance style. These factors help him become one of the show's outstanding contestants and appear in the top 3.

Dao Trung Tin won runner-up in Unexpected Transformation 2024

In the final night, Dao Trung Tin continued to transform into Khanh Phuong with the medley Look Back at Yourself – Tan Thoi. The performance combines vocals, appearance, expressions and choreography, creating an energetic performance. Notably, at the end of the performance, Trung Tin switched to performing with his real voice, thereby showing his desire to be known to the audience not only for his ability to transform.

The final result, Trung Tin scored 59 points and won the runner-up position in Unexpected Transformation 2024. The first season champion belonged to Hua Nguyen Dinh Thuy with 59.5 points, while Lam Hy received third prize with 58.75 points. The runner-up title became a memorable milestone in Dao Trung Tin's artistic journey, and also helped the male singer's name become known to more audiences.

Before making a mark at Unexpected Transformation, Dao Trung Tin had his own music products such as: Learning to accept, The heart does not change. However, it was not until he appeared on television and attracted attention with his transformation into Khanh Phuong that his name became more widely known to the public.
