Who is Social Network Twitter?
Twitter is an online social network that users can use to read, text and update small messages called tweets, similar to a microblog. Tweets are usually limited to a maximum of 280 characters and are spread within the poster's group of friends, or can be shared widely for everyone. Twitter launched users on March 21, 2006, and has quickly become a popular social network globally. Tweets can be just a stream of personal news or news updates that are faster and more timely than the mainstream media. To date, Twitter has a representative office in the city of San Francisco and has more than 35 representative offices in many countries around the world.
Thanks to the character limit, the Twitter social network has promote service packages that shorten website addresses like bits. ly, tinyurl and tr. im, or well-known services on domains such as NotePub and NotePub to capture rich multimedia and messages over 280 characters long. Currently, this social network has supported users to post Tweets in the form of images, animations, videos, conversations, and the feature of updating user moments. On April 25, 2022, Twitter's board of directors approved Elon Musk - CEO of Twitter SpaceX and Tesla bought Twitter for $44 billion, potentially making the deal one of the largest to convert a holding company into private ownership.
In January 2012, Twitter announced that it would apply a new technique to censor messages based on country-specific regulations, in order to comply with different laws around the world. Any content that Twitter deletes will be removed worldwide. This contradicts the social network's announcement a year ago - it promised users not to censor messages.
Pear Analytics is a market research firm based in San Antonio that analyzed 2k tweets originating in the US and in English over a two-week period in August 2009. according to time frames. In which, content plagiarism 40%, chat 30%, value forward 9%, self-promotion is 6% with news, spam, each generating 4%. Jack Dorsey once said that the messages on Twitter are "a bunch of trivia". But social media researcher Danah Boyd argues that what Pear labels is "nonsense nonsense". In a survey of Twitter users, it was found that the social role of transmitting messages that include multiple links is expected by users who are following the link back and forth.
