Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, cosmologist, and science spokesman. Since 1996, he has been the director of Frederick P. Rose of the Rose Earth and Space Center. The center is part of the American Museum of Natural History.
Neil deGrasse Tyson fell in love with astronomy when he was 9 years old, when he visited the Hayden Planetarium.
From 1991-1994, he collaborated with Princeton University. He joined the Hayden Planetarium and became a research scientist, and has been an informal faculty member at Princeton University since 1994. In 1996, Tyson became the Director of the Hayden Planetarium, responsible for overseeing the Hayden Planetarium. Oversaw Hayden's renovation.
From 1995, he wrote a regular article for the Cosmos section of Natural History magazine (|Natural History), until 2005 when he retired. Also during this time, Tyson collaborated with Star Date Magazine, writing articles in the question-and-answer column about the universe under the pseudonym Merlin. His writings have been published in two books, Merlin's Tour of the Universe (1998) and Just Visiting This Planet (Visit this planet -1998). your.
In 2001, he served on the Government Committee on the Future of US Aerospace. Also in 2001, Tyson was awarded the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal. In 2015, Tyson received the Public Welfare Medal from the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America.

He graduated from high school at the Bronx School of Science, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Physical Science Journal.
In 1980, he received his bachelor's degree in Physics from Harvard University and then his master's degree in Astronomy from the University of Texas at Austin in 1983.
In 1988 he obtained his master's degree. Doctor of Astrophysics at Columbia University, in 1991, obtained a master's degree.
