Pham Thi Hong Le was born in 1998 in Cat Hanh commune, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province. She is a Vietnamese track and field athlete whose forte is 5, 000m, 10, 000m and marathon.

Hong Le's fate with athletics was when the teachers at the Binh Dinh Sports Training and Competition Center came to the school to recruit soldiers. Seeing that the student was small but agile and strong, the teachers decided to recruit Le to join the track and field team.

In 2013, Le started practicing athletics and less than a year later she won 2 bronze medals running 5, 000m. 10, 000m at the 2014 National Sports Festival. In 2017, at SEA Games 29, Le won a bronze medal in the 10, 000m event, something no Binh Dinh athlete has ever done. But she realized that it was difficult for her to reach the top at this distance, so she asked her teachers to switch to competing in the Marathon event.

Hong Le's first sweet result with Marathon was the gold medal at the 2018 National Sports Festival. Since then, when mentioning the Binh Dinh girl, fans immediately think of this super harsh distance. She participated in many running events and collected all kinds of achievements.

At SEA Games 30, although she did not win the gold medal in the Marathon content, the bronze medal that Le won was even more precious than gold. Because this is the result that Le trained hard for a long time, she had to put in a lot of sweat and effort and by the time she reached the finish line, the girl from Binh Dinh had to breathe oxygen and ask for support from doctors. .

In 2021, at the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2021 (this tournament is also the selection competition for the SEA Games 31 marathon), Pham Thi Hong Le crossed the finish line first with a time of 2 hours 55 minutes 28 seconds.
