Trademark Adidas

Adidas was founded by businessman Adolf Dassler and his brother in 1924, at his mother's house. The company was originally called Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (The Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory). Dassler has developed a line of spiked running shoes that have served many sporting events. To enhance the quality of this product line, Adolf Dassler converted from the former heavy metal spikes to canvas and rubber. The Dasslers convinced American sprinter Jesse Owens to use his handmade spikes to compete in the 1936 Summer Olympics.

In 1949, the relationship between the Dassler brothers broke down, Adolf Dassler founded the Adidas brand and Rudolf founded the Puma brand. These two brands have become business rivals. The three stripes are an identifying mark of Adidas products, which have been used on the company's clothing and footwear designs as a tool to market its brand.

From 2012 to now, Adidas has expanded its business network around the world. Currently, Adidas is headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany, and has many business locations around the world such as Tokyo, Australia, Taiwan, London, Portland, Toronto and Spain... In early 2015, Adidas launched Mobile application for customers to pre-order. This is a new business idea in the footwear industry. According to Adidas, the app allows customers to access and order the brand's limited edition sneakers.

This sports brand has become the companion of many football clubs around the world. They are the main sponsor of Bayern München, and many other national teams such as: Mexico, Argentina, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Japan, Hungary, Wales, Belgium, Colombia and Italy. The brand has also sponsored many famous players such as: Steven Gerrard, Gareth Bale, Thomas Müller, Xavi, Mesut Özil, James Rodríguez, Iker Casillas, Lionel Messi, Zinédine Zidane, Kaká, David Beckham, Arjen Robben, Paul Pogba, Dele Alli, Roberto Firmino, Luis Suárez, Ivan Rakitić, Diego Costa, Mohamed Salah, Paulo Dybala, Mats Hummels and Manuel Neuer. Adidas is also one of the main sponsors of the UEFA Champions League. The Adidas Finale is the official match ball of this tournament.
