Who is Trademark Zara?
Zara is a fashion and accessories brand from Spain, headquartered in Arteixo, Galicia. The company was founded by Rosalía Mera and Amancio Ortega, in 1975. It is a brand of the Inditex Group, the largest fashion retailer in the world. The Inditex Group also owns brands such as Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear and Uterqüe.
In 1975, Amancio Ortega opened its first store. Zara in downtown A Coruña, Spain. Originally, Amancio Ortega named this store Zorba - a name taken from the classic movie Zorba the Greek. However, after discovering that there was a bar that took up this, the Ortega surname changed its name to Zara. Zara's first store displayed the same products as many other famous brands but at a low price. Since then, Ortega has expanded to more stores in many Spanish provinces. In the 1980s, Ortega changed its logo design, manufacturing and distribution processes to reduce the load on collection times and adapt more quickly to new trends. Those innovations include the use of information technology and designers' teams instead of individuals.
Zara specializes in both men's, women's and children's clothing (Zara Kids). Zara products are designed and manufactured based on consumer trends. After only 1 to 2 weeks, Zara's trending designs have been brought to stores. All Zara clothing is processed through a distribution center in Spain. All products are carefully inspected, sorted, labeled and packed before being shipped to the distribution stores.
After more than 45 years of operation, the Zara brand has confirmed establish its image and name in the international fashion market. Zara is becoming the largest retail chain in the world, suitable for many customers. According to Inditex, Zara has about 300 designers working in Artexo and 100 designers working in Barcelona. This brand has expanded its product distribution branches to many countries such as Germany, Japan, Vietnam.... Currently, Zara has more than 1,763 stores worldwide.
