Who is Vietnamese Emperor Tran Minh Tong?
Tran Minh Tong was the fifth king of the Tran dynasty in Vietnamese history. He reigned from April 1314 to March 1329, then became Crown Prince until his death.
Tran Minh Tong's real name is Tran Manh, the fourth son of king Tran Anh Tong. His mother was Huy Tu Hoang consort, the daughter of Bao Nghia King Tran Binh Trong. Before Tran Manh was born, the princes of Tran Anh Tong were difficult to raise, so he asked Princess Thuy Bao (sister of Tran Thanh Tong) raised for help, but then Tran Manh was sent to Tran Nhat Duat to raise.
